Our company’s specialists in the oil exploration department constantly search for and develop new oil fields in the Russian Federation. If in the first year of work, for exploration and production we used the capacities of exclusively contracting organizations, now we have our own division working in the field of research.

Our specialists have studied the Volga-Ural region very well, it is here that there are such large deposits as: Romashkinskoye – in Tataria, Shkapovskoye and Tuymazinskoye – in Bashkiria, Mukhanovskoye – in the Samara region. and etc.

Oil production is concentrated in the three most important oil and gas provinces, which together give more than 9/10 of all Russian oil, including the West Siberian province accounts for more than 2/3, and for the Volga-Ural region – about 1/4 of the total production.
Privatization of oil and gas facilities has previously fragmented a single centrally managed state system. Private oil companies seized production facilities and the country’s national wealth – oil fields and their reserves. There are 17 companies in the Russian oil complex. The largest among them are LUKOIL (18.7% of oil production in the Russian Federation), TNK (18.5%), Rosneft (15.6%), Surgutneftegaz (13.6%) and Sibneft ( 9.7%).

The advancement of production to the eastern regions and to the north of the European part poses the acute problem of transporting oil. The most effective means for this in Russia are pipelines. The development of the network of oil pipelines contributes to the further approximation of oil refining to the places of consumption of petroleum products.

Since Rusoil is a full-cycle company, we are engaged in research, production, processing and export of petroleum products, at some point it was decided to develop its own network of pipelines from raw materials to the nearest refinery.

In addition to our own pipelines, our company actively uses pipelines from other operators. This allows to reduce the investment load and corporate expenses for the development of its network, thanks to fixed relations with large Russian operators. Also, reliable relationships help to achieve a fairly low rate for the use of pipelines for exporting our products outside the Russian Federation.

Processing products is for us one of the most budget-oriented activities. At our refineries at the same time operate several parallel lines of processing of raw materials, and finished products are sold in two main areas:

• Sale of the final product of refining from our own raw materials to our customers outside the Russian Federation;
• Sale of refined products to our partners in the Russian Federation, produced from the raw materials they extracted.

This flexibility allows us to simultaneously expand the territory of our presence, develop markets throughout the world and at the same time remain in reliable partnership with Russian companies.
